Composition

active ingredient: thiamine hydrochloride;

1 ml of solution contains thiamine hydrochloride 50 mg;

excipients: unithiol, water for injection.

Pharmacological properties

Thiamine chloride-Darnitsa belongs to a group of simple drugs of vitamin B1, which plays an important role in neuro-reflex regulation and metabolism. This drug, which restores vitamin B1 deficiency in the body, affects the conduction of nervous excitation in the area of ​​contact between the processes of nerve cells and other cells.

Indications

Thiamine chloride-Darnitsa is used to treat hypovitaminosis B1, avitaminosis B1, including patients who are on hemodialysis, tube feeding and suffer from a disease such as malabsorption syndrome.
The drug is indicated as a complex treatment for neuritis, radiculitis, polyneuritis, neuralgia, myocardial infarction, peripheral paresis and paralysis, neurasthenia, neuropathy, chronic liver disease, encephalopathy (including Wernicke-Korsakov encephalopathy).
Also indications for the use of the drug are the following diseases: peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, endarteritis, intestinal atony, dermatosis (atopic dermatitis, herpes zoster, psoriasis, pyoderma, eczema), with metabolic disorders and neutrophic changes.

Contraindications

Contraindications to the use of the drug Thiamine chloride-Darnitsa are:

  • hypersensitivity to the substances that are part of it;
  • idiosyncrasy;
  • allergic diseases;
  • before menopause in women and menopause;
  • children under 8 years of age.

Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding

Thiamine chloride-Darnitsa for pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers is used in the recommended doses and under the supervision of the attending physician.

Method of application and dose

The drug Thiamine chloride-Darnitsa is intended for intramuscular use, it is necessary to enter deep into the muscle.
The recommended dose for adult patients is 0.5-1 ml of the drug (25-50 mg) once a day, every day. Begin treatment with a small dose of 0.5 ml (25 mg), if the drug is well tolerated by the body, increase the dose to 1 ml (50 mg). Duration of therapy – from 10 to 30 injections.
In cases of Wernicke-Korsakov encephalopathy, the drug is administered in a dose of 1-2 ml (50-100 mg) 2 times a day until the clinical picture improves. The possibility of allergic reactions to vitamin B1 should be considered.
For children older than 8 years, the recommended dose is 0.25 ml (12.5 mg) once a day, every day.

Overdose

An overdose of thiamine chloride may cause hypercoagulability, purine metabolism disorders, and may worsen the symptoms of side effects. In this case, the drug should be discontinued and symptomatic treatment should be given.

Side effects

The use of Thiamine chloride-Darnitsa can cause the following side effects: palpitations, tachycardia, collapse, dizziness, headache, anxiety, optic nerve damage, paresthesia, nausea, difficulty breathing and swallowing, shortness of breath, intestinal hemorrhage.
Itching and rash (including injection site), dermatitis, hives, redness, angioneurotic edema, anaphylactic shock, liver enzyme dysfunction and bronchospastic syndrome, which is accompanied by convulsions, may also occur.
Administration of the drug may be accompanied by sweating, tremor, chills, edema, general weakness, fever, low blood pressure, cardiac arrhythmia, skeletal muscle contraction and central nervous system depression.
