Scientific Evidence

Xylometazoline hydrochloride, the active ingredient in Vietnam Star nasal spray, is a vasoconstrictor that works by narrowing the blood vessels in the nasal passages. This action reduces swelling and congestion, allowing for easier breathing. Studies have shown that xylometazoline is effective in providing rapid relief from nasal congestion without causing significant systemic side effects.

Additional Information

It is important to use Vietnam Star nasal spray as directed and not exceed the recommended dosage to avoid adverse effects. Prolonged use of nasal decongestants like xylometazoline can lead to rebound congestion. If symptoms persist after the recommended duration of use, consult a healthcare professional.

Research studies have demonstrated the efficacy of xylometazoline in providing relief from nasal congestion due to various causes. Clinical trials have shown that xylometazoline nasal sprays are well-tolerated and can significantly improve nasal airflow and congestion symptoms in patients with allergic rhinitis and sinusitis.

The pharmacological action of xylometazoline involves stimulating alpha-adrenergic receptors in the nasal mucosa, leading to vasoconstriction and reduced nasal blood flow. This results in decreased nasal congestion and improved airflow. Compared to oral decongestants, nasal sprays like Vietnam Star offer targeted relief with minimal systemic absorption and side effects.
