Composition
active substance: sertraline in the form of sertraline hydrochloride;
1 capsule contains sertraline 50 mg in the form of sertraline hydrochloride;
Excipients: lactose anhydrous, corn starch, sodium lauryl sulfate, magnesium stearate;

Pharmacological properties
Zalox is an antidepressant that is widely used in psychiatry and has the ability to suppress the expression of norepinephrine and serotonin receptors in the brain.
Indications for use
Zalox is used to prevent and treat depressive states: depressive psychosis, which is accompanied by feelings of anxiety, manic manifestations of mental disorders. Prophylactic antidepressant is also prescribed to prevent the recurrence of depressive relapses and illness, obsessive-compulsive disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder, agoraphobia (panic fear of open spaces), post-traumatic stress disorder, and other manifestations of psychosis.

Contraindications
Zalox has contraindications to use: hypersensitivity reactions to the components that are part of this tool, the use of concomitant biologically active substances that have the ability to inhibit the enzyme monoamine oxidase. Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding
The use of Zalox capsules for pregnant women and during breastfeeding is contraindicated. An exception is the doctor’s recommendation in cases where the expected benefits of taking this drug outweigh the possible risks.
Method of application and dose
The use of the drug Zalox capsules for the treatment of depressive states in adults and children over 13 years, starting with a dose of 50 mg per day. In nervous disorders, which are accompanied by a feeling of anxiety, the daily dose is 25 mg, if necessary on the advice of a doctor, the dose is increased to 50 mg. Children aged 6-12 years: the initial dose is 25 mg once a day. After 7 days, the daily dose can be increased to 50 mg.
If after a week of treatment there is no positive response, then the doctor increases the dosage, but the dose should not exceed 200 ml per day. However, it takes a long time, about four weeks, to improve your health.
The dosage during long-term treatment with Zalox capsules should be kept at the minimum effective level, followed by adjustment depending on the patient’s condition.
Withdrawal of the drug should be carried out gradually, to avoid withdrawal syndrome, over 7-14 days.
The capsules should be taken once a day in the morning or evening, at the same hour, regardless of food intake, washed down with water without chewing.
Overdose
Signs of Zalox capsules overdose are: drowsiness, tachycardia and agitation, nausea, dizziness, vomiting, tremor, in rare cases, coma is possible.
If these symptoms occur, maintenance therapy should be performed, which includes gastric lavage, administration of activated charcoal, use of laxatives, monitoring of cardiac activity and other systemic physiological parameters.
Side effects
