Ingredients
The active ingredient in each tablet is 10 mg of Ketorolac Tromethamine.
Mechanism of Action
Ketorolac Tromethamine, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), inhibits cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) enzymes, leading to decreased prostaglandin synthesis. This results in analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic effects.
Pharmacological Properties
Ketorolac blocks prostaglandin production, mediators of pain and inflammation. It is rapidly absorbed orally, reaching peak plasma concentrations within 1-2 hours. The drug is highly protein-bound, undergoes hepatic metabolism, and is primarily excreted through the kidneys.
Indications for Use
Ketorol is indicated for managing moderate to severe acute pain, including postoperative pain, renal colic, and musculoskeletal pain.
Contraindications
- Patients with known hypersensitivity to Ketorolac or any other ingredients.
- Patients with active peptic ulcer disease, recent gastrointestinal bleeding, or perforation.

Side Effects

Usage Instructions
