Scientific Evidence

Celecoxib, the active ingredient in Flogoxib, is a selective COX-2 inhibitor that works by reducing substances in the body that cause inflammation and pain. Studies have shown that celecoxib is effective in managing pain and inflammation associated with various conditions, with a lower risk of gastrointestinal side effects compared to traditional NSAIDs.

Additional Information

It is important to follow the prescribed dosage and duration of treatment to avoid potential side effects. Inform your healthcare provider about any other medications you are taking to prevent drug interactions. If you experience any unusual symptoms while taking Flogoxib, seek medical attention immediately.

Pharmacological Effects: Celecoxib selectively inhibits cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), an enzyme involved in the inflammatory response. By targeting COX-2, celecoxib reduces inflammation and pain without affecting COX-1, thereby minimizing gastrointestinal side effects.

Clinical Trials: Clinical trials have demonstrated the efficacy of celecoxib in managing pain and inflammation in various conditions. A study published in the Journal of Rheumatology showed that celecoxib provided significant pain relief in patients with osteoarthritis compared to a placebo group.
