Description

Pharmacodynamics.

Ethonium has a bacteriostatic and bactericidal effect due to a violation of the synthesis of the cell membrane of streptococci, staphylococci. It also has a mild local anesthetic and wound healing effect. Promotes the regeneration of damaged tissues. It has a detoxifying effect on staphylococcal toxin.

Indications

Trophic skin ulcers, cracks in the nipples, rectum and perineum, vaginitis, burns (thermal, chemical, radiation and mucous membranes), x-ray dermatitis.

Contraindications

Increased individual sensitivity to the drug (allergic dermatitis, eczema); allergic reactions to the components of the drug, purulent and gangrenous forms of pulpitis.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction

With simultaneous use with antibiotics of the tetracycline group, gentamicin sulfate, levomycetin, the effect of antibiotics is enhanced.

Application Features

Avoid contact with eyes.

There is no reason to believe that the use of the drug during pregnancy is risky.

During pregnancy, the drug should be used as prescribed by a doctor.

When used to treat nipple cracks during breastfeeding, the drug should be washed off before feeding.

Dosage and administration

Apply externally.

For the treatment of trophic ulcers and burns, the drug is applied directly to the damaged surface and a sterile bandage is applied or an ointment is applied to the bandage, and then it to the wound. The drug is applied to the affected areas of the skin for adults 1-2 times a day. The duration of the course of treatment is from 3 days to 1 month.

Children. There is no experience of using Ethonium in children.
