The drug normalizes metabolism, has an active antioxidant effect, restores capillary circulation, tissue and vascular permeability, increases the resistance of tissues to hypoxia.
Indications
AEvit is indicated for therapeutic purposes in diseases and conditions that require long-term administration of large doses of vitamin A in combination with vitamin E: atherosclerotic vascular changes, impaired tissue trophism, endarteritis obliterans, psoriasis, systemic lupus erythematosus, optic nerve atrophy, retinitis pigmentosa, as part of complex therapy of dermatitis and acne; in the complex therapy of cardiovascular diseases (hypertension with signs of left ventricular overload, stable angina pectoris I and II functional classes). Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, hypervitaminosis A and E, thyrotoxicosis, chronic glomerulonephritis, cholelithiasis, decompensated heart failure, history of sarcoidosis, chronic pancreatitis, severe cardiosclerosis, myocardial infarction.
Application Features
The drug should be used with caution in patients with an increased risk of thromboembolism, severe atherosclerosis of the coronary arteries, chronic circulatory failure, with acute or chronic nephritis, cholecystitis, with severe lesions of the hepatobiliary system. The drug should not be administered simultaneously with other drugs containing vitamin A and its synthetic analogues, due to the risk of developing hypervitaminosis A. Vitamin A tends to accumulate and stay in the body for a long time. Women taking high doses of retinol can plan pregnancy no earlier than 6-12 months later. This is due to the fact that during this time the risk of fetal developmental disorders under the influence of a high content of vitamin A in the body remains.
