Ingredients

The active ingredient in Cardura tablets is doxazosin mesylate. Each tablet contains 4 mg of doxazosin.

Dosage

The recommended starting dose is 1 mg daily. Depending on the patient’s response, the dosage may be gradually increased to 2 mg, 4 mg, or 8 mg daily.

Indications

Cardura is indicated for the treatment of hypertension and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to doxazosin, other quinazolines, or any component of the product.
• Pregnancy and lactation as safety has not been established.

Directions

Cardura should be taken once daily with breakfast. The tablets should be swallowed whole with a sufficient amount of water.
