Scientific Evidence
Pharmacological Effects: Bisoprolol, the active ingredient in Concor Cor, is a selective beta-blocker that works by blocking the action of certain natural substances in the body, such as epinephrine, on the heart and blood vessels. This results in a lowering of heart rate, blood pressure, and strain on the heart.
Clinical Trials: Clinical studies have shown that bisoprolol is effective in reducing blood pressure, improving exercise tolerance in angina patients, and reducing hospitalizations in heart failure patients. A study published in the European Heart Journal demonstrated the efficacy of bisoprolol in reducing mortality and morbidity in heart failure patients.
Additional Information
Warnings: It is important to regularly monitor blood pressure and heart rate while taking Concor Cor. Do not discontinue the medication abruptly without consulting your healthcare provider.
Storage: Store Concor Cor tablets at room temperature away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
