The use of glucocorticoids should only be considered as symptomatic treatment, in addition to the presence of certain endocrine disorders, when glucocorticoids are used as replacement therapy. For intramuscular administration Depo-Medrol is not indicated for the treatment of acute life-threatening conditions. If you need to get a rapid hormonal effect of maximum intensity, intravenous administration of a viscocorticoid, such as methylprednisolone sodium succinate (solu-Medrol), is indicated. If oral therapy is not possible and this drug is indicated for the treatment of the disease, Depo-Medrol is used intramuscularly, as indicated below. Anti-inflammatory treatment Rheumatic disease.
