Extraterm Storage
active substances:

1 tablet contains extract of thermopsis lanceolate herb dry (extractant – ethanol 25%) 0.043 g; sodium bicarbonate 0.2 g;

excipients: sodium benzoate (E 211); ammonium chloride; potato starch; talc.

Extraterm Dosage form
Tablets.

Main physical and chemical properties: tablets of light brown color with impregnations, with a line for distribution.

Pharmacological properties
Extraterm – a combined drug that has expectorant, antitussive and anti-inflammatory effects.

Thermopsis enhances the secretion of bronchial glands. Alkaloids (cytisine, methylcytisine, pachycarpine, anagirine, thermopsin and thermopsidine) contained in thermopsis have a stimulating effect on the respiratory center.

Sodium bicarbonate stimulates the secretion of bronchial glands, helping to reduce the viscosity of sputum.

Indication
Symptomatic treatment of cough (especially with difficult sputum discharge) in respiratory diseases such as tracheitis, bronchitis, bronchopneumonia.

Contraindication
Increased individual sensitivity to the drug. Acute glomerulonephritis, acute pyelonephritis; duodenal ulcer, gastric ulcer, hemoptysis. Children under 6 years old.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction
Adsorbents, binders and envelopes can reduce the absorption of thermopsis grass alkaloids in the gastrointestinal tract. Cough tablets should not be used concomitantly with drugs that contain codeine and other drugs that suppress cough.
