Flumibact Storage
active substance: dequalinium chloride;
1 vaginal tablet contains 10 mg of dequalinium chloride;
Excipients: lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate.

Main physical and chemical properties: oblong tablets with a biconvex surface, white.

Pharmacological properties

Flumibakt IC contains dequalinium chloride – a Quaternary ammonium compound with a broad antimicrobial spectrum of action against various gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, fungi and simple single-celled organisms (Trichomonas vaginalis). The activity of dequalinium chloride in vitro against the following significant pathogens for the vaginal area was established. This activity is expressed as the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC).

Vaginal infections of bacterial and fungal origin (eg bacterial vaginosis and candidiasis).
Trichomoniasis.
Rehabilitation before gynecological interventions and childbirth.
Contraindication
Increased individual sensitivity to the drug.
Ulcers of the epithelium of the vagina and cervix.
Children’s age.

Interaction with other drugs is unknown. If you need to use any medication at the same time, you should consult a doctor.
Flumibakt IC is incompatible with soap and other anionic surfactants.
Features of application
Flumibakt IC contains excipients that are completely insoluble. Remains of the pill can sometimes be found on underwear. The effectiveness of the drug is not affected.
Sometimes, in case of vaginal dryness, the vaginal tablet may not dissolve and come out of the vagina whole. In this case, the treatment is not effective. To prevent this, you can moisten the tablet with a little water before inserting the tablet into a dry vagina.
Patients should use sanitary pads or daily pads. The drug does not change the color of linen. Patients should be advised to change their underwear daily and wash it at a temperature of at least 80 ºC.
