Niceromax composition
active substance: nicergoline;
1 bottle contains 4 mg of nicergoline;
excipients: lactose monohydrate, tartaric acid.
Dosage form
Lyophilisate for solution for injection.
Pharmacological properties
Niceromax is an alpha blocker. Refers to synthetic derivatives of ergot alkaloids. The remedy improves blood supply to the extremities, in particular when it is insufficient against the background of functional arteriopathies. Also, the drug improves pulmonary, cerebral and renal blood flow.
Indications
Niceromax is indicated for acute and chronic disorders of cerebral circulation: cerebral embolism and thrombosis, cerebral atherosclerosis, post-traumatic encephalopathy, transient cerebral ischemia, psycho-organic syndrome.
Also, the drug is indicated for migraine, dizziness, ischemic damage to the optic nerve, diabetic retinopathy, dystrophic diseases of the cornea. It is used for vascular disorders of peripheral circulation, in particular, with obliterating endarteritis, Raynaud’s disease, diabetic angiopathy. It is used as an adjunct medicine for arterial hypertension and hypertensive crisis.
Contraindications
The use of the drug is prohibited in case of hypersensitivity to it, angina pectoris, severe atherosclerosis of peripheral vessels, myocardial infarction, organic heart damage, arterial hypotension.
Application during pregnancy and lactation
It is forbidden to use this product for women during the specified periods. Breast-feeding during the period of treatment with this drug should be discontinued.
Method of administration and dosage
The route of administration of the drug, its dose and the duration of the course of treatment depend on the clinical situation.
Niceromax is administered intravenously, intramuscularly and intraarterially. Before administration, the drug must be dissolved in the supplied sodium chloride solution.
Intramuscularly the drug is administered at 2-4 mg 2 times / day. Intravenous drip is applied at 4–8 mg per dose, previously dissolved in 100 ml of sodium chloride solution. For intra-arterial administration, the drug is applied at 4 mg per dose, previously dissolved in 10 ml of sodium chloride solution; with this method of administration, the drug is injected slowly over two minutes or more.
If the patient’s pulse rate at rest is less than 50 beats per minute, the drug may be administered only under close medical supervision.
After administration of the drug, patients should be in a horizontal position for fifteen minutes in order to prevent an orthostatic reaction.
Overdose
High doses of the drug can provoke a short-term drop in blood pressure. As a rule, such conditions do not require special treatment; the patient is recommended to stay in a horizontal position for several minutes. In exceptional cases, with severe insufficiency of the heart and cerebral circulation, it is possible to carry out symptomatic therapy and monitoring of blood pressure.
Side effects
Side effects of this drug include nausea, drowsiness / insomnia, diarrhea, cold extremities, vomiting, abdominal pain, arterial hypotension, flushing (redness) of the upper body and face, headache, warmth, dizziness, allergic reactions, pain and dysfunction of the limbs, angina pectoris, itching.
Storage conditions and periods
Store Niceromax in a dark place at temperatures below + 25 ° C.
The shelf life is two years.
