Description

Nize composition
active substance: nimesulide;
1 tablet contains nimesulide 100 mg;
Excipients: calcium hydrogen phosphate, microcrystalline cellulose, corn starch, sodium starch glycolate (type A), colloidal anhydrous silica, talc, magnesium stearate.

Dosage form
Tablets.

Pharmacological properties
Nimesulide is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) of the methanesulfonanilide group, which has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effects. The therapeutic effect of nimesulide is due to the fact that it interacts with the arachidonic acid cascade. Nimesulide selectively inhibits COX II (cyclooxygenase II) and inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins in the inflammatory focus.
Nimesulide inhibits the release of the enzyme myeloperoxidase, as well as inhibits the formation of oxygen free radicals, without affecting the processes of phagocytosis and chemotaxis, inhibits the formation of tumor necrosis factor and other inflammatory mediators.

Indications
Nize is used in the treatment of rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis, radiculitis, joint syndrome with exacerbation of rheumatism and gout, ankylosing spondyloarthritis, osteochondrosis with radicular syndrome, sciatica, lumbago, arthritis of various origins, fever and non-arthritis of various post-mortem fever and fever bruises, injuries and ruptures of the ligaments, arthralgia, osteoarthritis, bursitis, inflammation of the tendons, ligaments. In addition, the drug is used to eliminate pain in migraine attacks, toothache, menstrual pain, as well as pain caused by trauma or surgery.

Contraindications
Nize is not used in the therapy of patients suffering from ulcerative erosive lesions of the digestive tract, gastric and intestinal bleeding, liver dysfunction, aspirin triad, renal failure, arterial hypertension, diabetes mellitus and nimesulide intolerance.

Children
The drug is not used in the treatment of children under two years of age.

Application during pregnancy and lactation
The use in the therapy of women at the stage of pregnancy or lactation is unacceptable.

Method of administration and dosage
Nize is used in the treatment of adults, 100 mg twice a day. The maximum permissible daily dose is 400 mg. Duration of treatment is ten days. The tablets are taken after meals. It is recommended to take Nise twice a day. If the patient’s weight is more than 40 kg, then the drug can be taken twice a day at an adult dosage of 100 mg.
After a thorough analysis of the benefits and harms, it is possible to jointly take Nise with drugs containing lithium and digoxin, as well as diuretics, phenytoin, antihypertensive drugs, methotrexate, cyclosporine, anticoagulants and oral hypoglycemic agents.

Overdose
An overdose of the drug is characterized by the development of renal dysfunction, inflammatory damage to the mucous membrane of the stomach and intestines, respiratory depression, convulsions, increased blood pressure.
With the development of symptoms of an overdose, the patient is given gastric lavage, activated charcoal intake, formed diuresis and symptomatic treatment are provided.

Side effects
With prolonged use, patients develop abdominal pain, dyspeptic disorders, erosive and ulcerative lesions of the intestines and stomach, increased activity of liver enzymes and allergic reactions. When using the drug in the form of a gel in the area of ​​application, redness, itching, swelling and rashes are possible.

Storage conditions and periods
Nize must be stored in places that are out of reach of children. Duration of storage of the drug is 36 months.
