Description
Posiformin Ingredients
1 g of gel contains: bibrocatol (20 mg), as an active component, as additional substances in the composition are indicated: mineral oil, white soft paraffin, lanolin.
Release form
Posiformin is an eye ointment produced in the form of a suspension of a uniform consistency from yellow to gray-yellow in color.
Packing: in a cardboard box 1 aluminum tube with a polyethylene tip and a cap with first opening control, 5 g of ointment each.
Pharmacological properties
The drug is intended for use in ophthalmology, as an antimicrobial agent. The action of the drug is due to the ability to inhibit the secretory functions of the mucous membranes, promoting wound healing. The drug has antiseptic and astringent properties, it is due to the viscosity of the ointment on the mucous membranes that a protective layer is formed, which prevents the penetration of pathogenic microorganisms, reducing inflammation.

Children

Pregnancy and breastfeeding period

Mode of application
The drug is intended for local use, oral administration is prohibited.
For adults and children over 6 years old, a strip of ointment 0.5 cm long is applied to the affected eyelid or placed in the conjunctival sac. Apply the drug until the symptoms of the disease disappear.
Usually the duration of use is no more than 2 weeks.
When using the drug with other ophthalmic drugs, an interval of 15 minutes should be observed between instillations or applications.
Wearing contact lenses while using this medication is prohibited.
Overdose
There are no data on cases of overdose.
If you follow the instructions for use of the drug and do not exceed the doses indicated in it, there can be no overdose.
In case of accidental ingestion of the drug in high doses, it is necessary to apply symptomatic treatment.
Adverse reactions

Storage conditions
