Scientific Evidence
Naphazoline nitrate, the active ingredient in Sanorin nasal spray, is a vasoconstrictor that works by constricting blood vessels in the nasal passages, reducing swelling and congestion. Studies have shown that naphazoline nitrate provides rapid relief from nasal congestion with minimal systemic absorption, making it a safe and effective option for managing nasal congestion.
Additional Information
Sanorin nasal spray should not be used for more than 3 consecutive days. Prolonged use may cause rebound congestion. If symptoms persist, consult a healthcare professional. Keep out of reach of children. Store at room temperature away from direct sunlight.
Pharmacological Effects: Naphazoline nitrate acts on alpha-adrenergic receptors in the nasal mucosa, leading to vasoconstriction and decreased nasal blood flow, which helps alleviate nasal congestion.
Clinical Trials: Clinical trials have demonstrated the efficacy of naphazoline nitrate in providing relief from nasal congestion in patients with allergic rhinitis and common cold. The rapid onset of action and local effect make it a preferred choice for nasal congestion relief.
