Trivalumen (valerian, peppermint, water shamrock) capsules №20
Composition
1 capsule contains trivalumen (dry extract (extractant – water) of a mixture of valerian roots (Radices Valerianae), peppermint leaves (Folia Menthae piperitae), water shamrock leaves (Folia Menyanthidis trifoliatae), seed hops (Strobili lupuli) in a ratio (1: 2 :2:1)), in terms of dry matter – 356 mg;
excipients: lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate.
Hard gelatin capsule No. 0: quinoline yellow (E 104), sunset yellow FCF (E 110), patent blue V (E 131), brilliant black BN (black PN) (E 151), titanium dioxide (E 171), gelatin.
Dosage form
Capsules.
Basic physical and chemical properties: hard gelatin capsules with a green cap and a yellow body. The contents of the capsules are a mass from light brown to dark brown in the form of powder or granules or a formed column, with a fragrant odor.

Pharmacological properties
Trivalumen belongs to the group of psycholeptic drugs. Sedative and hypnotic herbal preparation, which has a complex sedative effect on the central nervous system, reduces psycho-emotional stress, has a sedative effect, eliminates sleep disturbances, and reduces excessive sensitivity to external stimuli. The drug can be taken for a long time, it does not cause drug dependence.
Indications
The drug is prescribed and used to patients for the treatment of mild forms of neurosis and neurasthenia, which are accompanied by anxiety, increased excitability, tension and a sense of fear, depression, irritability and fatigue. This drug is indicated for arterial hypertension, cardiovascular neuroses with cardialgia. For mild sleep disorders due to mental or nervous fatigue, disorders of concentration and memory, constant psycho-emotional stress, climacteric syndrome, Trivalumene is also used.
Contraindications
The drug Trivalumen is contraindicated for use if the patient has acute inflammatory diseases of the intestine and stomach, stomach ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome, hypokalemia, impaired functional activity of the kidneys and liver, bronchial asthma, severe obesity. Also, the drug is contraindicated in patients with intolerance to the components that make up this drug, depression and other diseases that are accompanied by inhibition of the activity of the central nervous system.
Application during pregnancy and lactation
The use of the drug Trivalumene during pregnancy and breastfeeding is contraindicated.
Method of administration and dosage
The drug Trivalumen is intended for oral administration; adults and children over 12 years old should take 1 capsule in the morning and evening (1-2 times a day) 15-20 minutes before meals. The permissible daily dose is 2 capsules.
In case of sleep disorders, the drug should be taken 1 time, 1-2 capsules, in the evening before going to bed.
The duration of therapy is about a week, if necessary, after 1-2 weeks, the treatment can be repeated.
Overdose
In case of an overdose with Trivalumen, the following symptoms may appear:
- hearing and visual acuity disorders;
- general weakness;
- mental agitation;
- palpitations;
- imbalance in water and electrolyte balance;
- severe fatigue;
- increased manifestations of adverse reactions.
As a treatment, if any symptoms appear, you need to rinse the stomach and conduct symptomatic therapy.
Side effects
The use of the drug Trivalumen is usually well tolerated by patients, but nevertheless, sometimes this remedy can cause the manifestation of side effects, such as: drowsiness, fatigue, weakness, headache, decreased performance, dizziness, depression, depression of emotional reactions, lowering blood pressure. spastic abdominal pain, nausea, hypokalemia. Also, in some patients, manifestations of dyspepsia, hypersensitivity reactions (hyperemia, itching, rash, urticaria, skin edema) are possible.
