Pharmacological properties
This drug Papazol belongs to the group of analgesic and antipyretic combined therapeutic agents.
This drug is a combination of substances that, when used together, produce analgesic, spasmolytic and vasodilating effects. The active components of the drug are bendazole hydrochloride, papaverine hydrochloride.
In addition, this drug has antihypertensive and antipyretic effects.
In particular, bendazole hydrochloride has an antispasmodic, vasodilating, hypotensive effect.
The substance stimulates the central nervous system, restoring peripheral nerves, improving the functioning of the spine. It is also a mild immunostimulant.
Myotropic, antispasmodic and hypotensive effect, promoting relaxation of smooth muscles located both in blood vessels and in internal organs.
Indications

It can be used alone or as part of the combined treatment of hypertension, spasm of peripheral and coronary vessels of the brain, pylorospasm, spastic colitis, spasm of the urinary tract, poly- and mononeuritis, paralysis of the facial nerve, residual effects of postponed poliomyelitis.
Contraindications
Do not prescribe if the patient has a history of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the drug, epileptic syndrome, respiratory depression, broncho-obstructive syndrome, AV conduction disturbances, blood pressure lability or hypotension. The drug is not used to treat the elderly.
The drug is prescribed with caution to patients who have had TBI, as well as to those who suffer from renal or hepatic insufficiency, hypothyroidism, prostatic hyperplasia, decreased intestinal motility and adrenal insufficiency.
Children
It is used in pediatrics for children over 12 years old.
Application during pregnancy and lactation
The safety of taking during pregnancy and lactation has not been established, and therefore, for the treatment of this category of patients, the drug is used only in cases where the benefits to the mother’s health outweigh the risk of negative effects on the fetus.
Method of administration and dosage
Children who are 12 years old and adults are prescribed Papazol orally one tablet 2 or 3 times a day.
Overdose
In case of an overdose caused by non-compliance with the dose or prolonged use of the drug, hypotension, dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue, tachycardia, difficulty breathing and fainting may develop. In this case, patients are prescribed gastric lavage, intake of enterosorbents and symptomatic treatment.
Side effects
Most often, the drug is well tolerated by patients and its intake is not accompanied by the development of serious side effects. However, in the case of individual intolerance, the patient may experience allergic reactions, vomiting, constipation, increased fatigue, increased sweating, dizziness and drowsiness. Also, in some patients, when taking the drug, the development of tachycardia, a violation of AV conduction, a decrease in the strength and intensity of myocardial contraction may be observed.
Storage conditions and periods
Papazol is stored in a dark, dry place for no more than 5 years.
