Composition

Ingredients per 100 ml: trehalose – 3 g; sodium hyaluronate – 0.15 g; sodium chloride, trometamol, hydrochloric acid, water for injections up to 100 ml.

Properties

The main components of the solution are trehalose – a disaccharide found in flora and fauna, and sodium hyaluronate – a polysaccharide found in eye tissues.

Trehalose has protective, moisturizing, regenerating and antioxidant properties. It is a key factor in hydrobiotic processes (slowing down metabolism with insufficient moisture) for survival in drought. Trehalose is a proven natural osmo- and bioprotector. It protects and stabilizes cell membranes, prevents protein denaturation and fat degradation, has a unique property of stimulating autophagy (allows you to maintain a balance between cell destruction and self-renewal for survival in extreme conditions). The product is packaged in an ABAK multidose vial. This innovative patented package contains a filter membrane with a pore size of 200 nanometers. Passing through the membrane, eye drops are sterile filtered, which prevents any bacterial contamination. This protects the product and can be used for 3 months after first opening the vial. This makes it possible not to include a preservative in the solution and to ensure its comfortable and safe use in people sensitive to preservatives.

Indications for use

The drug Thealoz Duo is used and prescribed for:

Contraindications

Pregnancy and breastfeeding period

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, Thealoz Duo eye drops can be used.

Mode of application

Thealoz Duo drug is intended for local use, it is strictly forbidden to take inside.
The recommended dose is 1 drop 4-6 times a day into the conjunctival sac of the eye.
The duration of treatment is determined individually for each patient, depending on the sensations.
When wearing lenses, drops can be instilled directly with the contact lens installed.
If you need to use another ophthalmic drug, you should wait at least 10 minutes after instilling Tealoz Duo drops.
For children, the drug is indicated only for the recommendations of a doctor.

Overdose

There are no data on cases of overdose.
